The Metal Age

The Metal Age method;

The Metal Age method is a useful and handy method for planning and implementing concrete, tailored actions for better well-being at work and enhanced total productivity in the company/organization. The participants focus during the Metal Age process on their own well-being at work which guarantees the engagement of every individual. This participatory approach during the whole Metal Age process and the joint prioritizing of the development areas eliminate the resistance during the implementation of the concrete actions for better well-being at work.

The objective is enhanced total productivity in the company/organization through better well-being at work among the personnel. The Metal Age method creates a win-win situation.

The method, as the name Metal Age indicates, was originally constructed for the aging workers in the steel industry in the European Union. Nowadays the method is successfully used in all kinds of companies/organizations among workers of all ages.

The Metal Age method is easy to use and the development process takes only about 8 hours. The ideal group is 15-20 persons.

Mediona arranges 1-2 days courses for future Metal Age moderators. After attending the course the moderator receives the Metal Age pdf- and ppt-material and can freely use the method in his/her work

The Metal Age method is constructed by Dr Ove Näsman from Mediona and professor Juhani Ilmarinen from the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health.
